COMPETITION RULES
REGISTRATION

Teams must be made up of family members from the same household, as there is only the Family category this year due to necessary precautions for social distancing.

Each team member must be registered with the online registration form with the Twin Cities Beach Blast no later than Saturday, July 18 at 11:59:59 p.m.

Registration is free.
-
Teams cannot exceed (5) people.

As the competition is outdoors, masks are encouraged but not required.

Zoom Check-in opens at 10:30 a.m. Building begins at 11 a.m. Finish by 1:15 p.m. Judging immediately follows, then award notification.

Registered teams need to plot out a 10' x 10' plot.

Competition is not open to our sponsors, employees or members of Twin Cities Beach Blast or their families.

In the event of severe weather, cancellations or delays will be posted on www.tcbeachblast.com, www.facebook.com/tcbeachblast, www.twitter.com/tcbeachblast, and announced on local media.
SCULPTURE REQUIREMENTS​​

Participants may use shovels, pails, watering cans and carving, shaping, or wood.

No sand additives or glue are allowed.

Use of props should be limited.​

Measure your 10' x 10' plot by the 11 a.m. start time.

Zoom in at 10:30 a.m. for Check-in.

Begin building at 11 a.m. and finish by 1 p.m.
-
Zoom in at 11 a.m.; 11:45 a.m.; 12:15 p.m.; 12:45 p.m., and 1:15 p.m.

Cease building at 1:15 p.m. and stay Zoomed for judging.

Awards will be announced after judging, and prizes will be mailed to the winners.

All foreign material must be removed from the beach at the end of the event.​
CLASSES
Family Class: From same family household: 1-2 adults, all other team members ages 17 and under.

1st Place (Best in Show): $300
2nd Place: $100
3rd Place: $50
COMPETITION

All creations will be judged on the basis of creativity, craftsmanship, visual attractiveness and presentation.

At the start of judging, plots must be clear of all building material.

Judges’ decisions are final.
