Start Seeing Milk Cartons: Milk Carton Boat Races & Sandcastle Competition to return to Minneapo
After months of planning, the return of the Milk Carton Boat Races and Sandcastle Competition were officially announced today!
A long-time community favorite, the Milk Carton Boat Races and Sandcastle Competition will return to the shores of Thomas Beach this July under a new event name - The Twin Cities Beach Blast. Once a signature event as part of the Minneapolis Aquatennial festival, the Beach Bash was canceled back in 2015.
A new non-profit organization has formed to bring back the beloved day-long event. Named as Executive Director of the Twin Cities Beach Blast, Charlie Casserly will be leading the charge to bring back the festivities along Thomas Beach at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.
